CARE Student Advocacy is a pro bono legal support initiative by law students motivated to support diverse communities in Ontario.
We leverage our knowledge of education law and familiarity with Ontario school boards to assist parents in drafting letters that ensure the needs and considerations of their children are being properly expressed. The scope of topics we support with letters and communications include: special education and accommodations needs, bullying and harassment, attendance rights, and student discipline.
Our Project Leads, Antonette Persechino, Melanie Kahwaji, Kenyah Coombsand Benu Singh Parmar are excited to support our families in the days to come!
